Modern vehicles are equipped with many devices to try an protect our environment. The combination of EGR gasses and crank case oil returned to the intake via PCV system, mean that a lot of these nice new modern engines can gunk up and greatly restrict airflow in you vehicles’ intake such as the picture above.
